TC TECH was established.

1996
New plant specific for SFC was constructed.
With the construction of the new plant specific for SFC, TEC Tech supply the parts for the large sized excavators to Hyundai Heavy Industries. With the investment of 11 billion Won, we constructed the plant with the size of 15,679m2 (or 4,743 pyong), the construction land of 4,754m2 (or 1,438 pyong). So, we could create new market and attract new customers with the precision processing rather than simply processing.
1997
Taechang Steel SFC was registered as a supplier to HHI
SFC of Taechang Steel was possible with the model cutting, processing and welding and was registered as a formal supplier to HHI in Feb 1997.
1999
Bucket products were initially developed and put into the mass production
The bucket for excavator was initially developed and mas produced for HHI in July 1999. This became the starting point of expanding the business scope from the company specializing in the cutting and processing to the welding and cutting.
2000
SFC system (cutting and production control system) was developed and constructed
TC TECH independently developed and adopted the specific cutting and production management system (SFC system) along with TCIT, which is a subsidiary.
Gets selected as the quality supplier to HHI Construction Equipment Department.
Since officially registered as a supplier of HHI in 1997, we have been selected as a quality supplier to Construction Equipment Department of HHI in 3 years.
2003
ERP system is introduced.
We introduced the FABIS (FABricating Information System of Steel), which was independently developed in July 2003.
Certified with ISO 9001.
We got certified of ISO 9001 (Quality management system) in Nov. 2003.
2004
Establishes Beijing Jincheng Taechang Machinery Co., Ltd.
TC TECH established the local company in China, which specializes in the manufacturing and supplying the parts of construction equipment, as a bridgehead for becoming a global company.
Establishes TC TECH Pohang Plant No. 1 (manufacturing).
Subsequent to Plant No. 1 (cutting), we completed the construction of Plant No. 2 (manufacturing) to become a company specializing in the manufacturing the welded pipes in September 2004.
2005
Gets awarded with “2005 Eco-friendly management grand prize”.
TC TECH got awarded with the 2005 Eco-friendly management grand prize” at the event sponsored by Hankook Economic Newspaper.
2006
Gets awarded with “Silver Tower Industrial Award” on the day of commerce and industry.
In Mar. 2006, we got awarded with the Silver Tower Industrial Award on the 33rd day of commerce and industry which was held to encourage the development of industrial and commercial industries.
Gets awarded with “3-Million Dollar Export Tower” on the date of foreign trading.
We got awarded with 3-Million Dollar Export Tower” on 43rd day of foreign trading
Selected as “Excellent Supplier to CEPS Construction Equipment Department of HHI.
We became a supplier for CEPS (Construction Equipment Production System) which was an innovation movement conducted for the factory improvement, quality innovation and cost saving by the Construction Equipment Headquarters, HHI and got awarded with Prize of Excellence at CEPS Competition for suppliers.
2007
Starts the assembling business of min excavators for HHITC
TC TECH got orders from Construction Equipment Department of HHI in Sept. 2007 for assembling of mini excavator with the size of 1.6 ton to 3.5 ton. Starting to mass produce in Nov, we shipped the 1000th mini excavator in Aug. 2011.
2008
Gets awarded with “20 million Export Tower” on the day of foreign trading.
Subsequent to 3-million USD Export Tower award in 2006 and 10-million USD Export Tower award in 2007, we got awarded with 20-million USD Export Tower award which is 7 times in 2 years on 45th day of foreign trading.
2009
Completes the construction of employee welfare center “TETTE”.
TETTE which means the mother’s breast in Italian, is the name containing the philosophy for removing the stress from the employees and charging the emotional mood and energy.
2010
Gets awarded with KOBELCO of Japan
We got awarded with the award for improving the productivity and quality from KOBELCO which is a heavy equipment manufacturer of Japan in June 2010.
Selected as “Happiness Sharing Company” of Gyeongbuk.
In Dec. 2010. we were selected by Gyeongbuk Provincial Government as Happiness Sharing Company as we are excellent in creating the jobs.
Gets awarded with “Award of good security mind and good security control company” from HHI
We got awarded with “Award of good security mind and good security control company” from HHI.
2013
Gets selected as the company of Outstanding Performance of the Year 2012 from TEREX/GENIE of US.
We got selected as the outstanding performing company for GENIE (Terex brand), which was the world class heavy equipment company in 2012.
2014
Certified with KOSHA 18001 (Safety, Health and Management system)
TC TECH constructed the KOSHA 18001 (Safety, Health and Management System) to systematically control all activities related to the disaster prevention and got the KOSHA 18001 certificate and the acknowledgement plaque from Korea Occupational Safety & Health Agency on Oct. 13, 2014.
2016
New ERP System
We introduced the new ERP system for the company-wide resources control in 2016. It is the process for sales, purchasing, quality and cost. We rationalize all corporate management activities based on the cost while actively responding to the customer’s demand and prediction.
Selected as the preferred supplier of Terex AWP of USA
We got reappointed as an excellent supplier to GENIE (Terex brand), which is the world class heavy equipment company in 2016.
2017
Starting the assembling of the small-size excavator.
TC TECH started the assembling of small sized excavator in 2017 based on the experience of assembling the mini-excavator for Hyundai Construction Equipment in 2007. We leap one more level to become the plant specializing in the assembling of the excavator.
ISO9001:2015 certification
We got the ISO 9001:2015 (quality management system certification) on the fusing of the metal plate, welding and manufacturing and production of mini excavator.
2019
Received the President's Commendation on “The 20th Innovative Technology Show 2019”
At “The 20th Innovative Technology Show 2019” held at COEX in Seoul on August 26,
Vice Chairman Choo sanghan of TC TECH received the President's Commendation in recognition of his contribution to national industrial development through technological innovation by Small and medium-sized enterprises.
Achieving Zero at Market Quality IQ200 Assembly
President Jun-hyuk Yoo received ’Quality Achievement Award’ for ‘achieving zero at market quality IQ200 assembly’ at partners conference from Hyundai construction equipment on 11/22.
‘IQ200’ refers to rate of defectives (in 6 months, for domestic sales) within 200 hours after an equipment (excavator) gets delivered. Since Hyundai construction equipment was launched in 1985, TC TECH (Pohang factory) has achieved zero in assembly for the first time in 34 years.
